Your home

Your home uses power all day. You can’t see any of it.

The AC, the water heater, the fridge, the TV. Each one draws a different amount.

The bill arrives at the end of the month as one number. Nobody knows what used what.

The tiers

The more you use, the higher your tier.

Home electricity in Egypt is billed in tiers: every kWh costs more once you pass a limit.

One device left on can be enough to push the whole month into a dearer tier.

The strip

Four outlets. Each one has its own meter.

Watts, kWh and temperature for every outlet, live.

If an outlet overheats or the voltage spikes, it cuts that outlet itself and tells you.

Child lock: if someone presses the strip’s button, it goes straight back.

The hub

One hub. Every strip in the house.

The home hub talks to every strip over your home Wi-Fi.

And connects them to the app, so you’re in control from work or from abroad.

The app

The whole house on one screen.

Every room, every device, what it used today and what it cost in pounds.

Say “turn off the bedroom AC”. It does, and answers out loud.

Widgets on your home screen, and on your watch.

Automatic

It runs on its own.

Leave home and it switches off what you chose.

Come back and what was on comes back on. Never the water heater or the kettle.

Schedules that follow sunset, and a vacation mode that makes the house look lived in.

About Komin

Komin makes hardware and software that let people see and control the power their home uses.

We start with the outlet, because that is where every device meets the grid. The strip measures, the hub connects, and the app turns the numbers into decisions: what to switch off, when, and what it saves.
